Syria Muslim Brotherhood on the Anniversary of French Withdrawal: No Place for Occupiers in Syria
On the seventieth anniversary of the withdrawal of French occupying forces from Syria, we remember the great sacrifices made by Syrians for their country. We ponder several ‘occupations’ plaguing Syria today; starting with the occupation by the Assad despots across two generations; the Russian and Iranian occupiers, with their evil sectarian tentacles stretching out monstrously throughout the country; to the belligerent Zionist enemies occupying the Golan Heights, and supporting Assad and his regime for half a century to protect the borders of its stolen lands.
We say to all of these: The Syrian people rose in revolution to eliminate all your influence from their land, by all legitimate means; until Syrians see their land cleansed from the abomination of Assad, Iran, Russia and the Zionists. Then, Syrians will establish the state they aspire to: one where citizens enjoy justice, freedom and dignity, after their long struggle and selfless sacrifices.
On this special occasion, dear to every Syrian, the Muslim Brotherhood in Syria salutes the people, who made epic sacrifices in a continuing saga of patriotism – from grandchildren in their blessed Revolution, to the old fathers and grandfathers in their courageous struggle.
The international community should remember that all these occupations are in violation of international resolutions and the UN Charter, especially articles relating to the Zionist occupation of the Golan Heights, since nearly four whole decades.
Long live Syria free and proud
