Tadamun: Israel killed 11 Palestinians last month

TULKAREM, — The international Tadamun (solidarity) society for human rights reported Monday that 11 Palestinian citizens killed by Israel in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip during last April.

The society said in a report that among the victims two little girls from Jenin called Janna and Masa Faqha who were killed when a military jeep boarded by Israeli troops deliberately hit a tractor they were riding along with their father and brother.

The report also documented the kidnapping of more than 285 Palestinians during the month, noting that most of the arrests took place in occupied Jerusalem.

It added that among those who were kidnapped were 26 children and two women called Shirin Issawi, an activist in prisoners’ affairs, and Halima Sawamreh who were detained to pressure her son to turn himself in.

The society also pointed out that Israel kidnapped dozens of Palestinian workmen in the 1948 occupied lands last month at the pretext of working without permits.

In two separate incidents, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnapped Tuesday three Palestinians from Al-Khalil city, including a university professor.

They also photographed a number of Palestinian houses near the segregation wall in the area of Khalat Ibrahim and handed demolition orders against them.
