The Brotherhood’s Dr. Ghozlan Sees No Obstacle to Appointing Copt or Woman Vice-President of Egypt

During an interview on the Annas Egyptian satellite TV channel, on Wednesday evening, Dr. Mohamed Ghozlan, media spokesman of the Muslim Brotherhood and member of the Guidance Bureau, said that there is no problem in having a woman or a Coptic Vice-President.

"Despite the ferocity and viciousness of the deliberate, scurrilous attack against the Brotherhood and Dr. Morsi, we did not respond in kind, because ours is a movement and a course of action based on good morals in dealings with people.

"The Muslim Brotherhood is an institutional organization, constantly committed to the principle of Shura (consultation)."

Further, Dr. Ghozlan explained that Nahda project offered by the presidential candidate of the Muslim Brotherhood and its political wing the Freedom and Justice party, Dr. Morsi, has been in the making since 1984.

Nahda project is a comprehensive program of real renaissance and revitalization of the whole country. Covering all areas and fields of specialization, the project enlisted the help of hundreds of experts, specialized national centers and university professors.

While some of those experts and scholars were members of the Muslim Brotherhood, some certainly were not. The project has been constantly researched and modified, taking the advice of relevant specialists and experts.

The project will also be put up to the people and all relevant professionals for amendments and further modification with an eye to achieving a powerful rejuvenation, and a historic transformation of the country.
