The Brotherhoods Win 29 Seats in Run-offs

Yesterday’s run-offs of the ongoing parliamentary polls added 29 seats to the Moslem Brotherhood. Actually, the group fielded 37 nominees to contest for the run-offs. Besides, the run-offs of three constituencies were annulled, in which four Brotherhood’s candidates running. These gains bring the Brotherhood’s total wins so far to 42 parliamentary seats, at the rate of 2408% of 302 seats up for grabs in the first two stages.
 
Some results of the run-offs came as a surprise. The ruling National Democratic Party failed to achieve any victory in Suez Channel governorate of Ismailia while won one seat in Port Said, for example.
