The MB Chairman: Our Youth, our future

Mr. Mohamed Mahdi Akef, Chairman of the Muslim Brotherhood, urged the Islamic World”s youth to be an effective factor in the heart of our nation and to have a constructive and positive role which will enable them to change the painful reality in which they live in to a genuine life satisfying Allah, His Messenger and the believers as a whole.

He stated in his weekly speech titled “The role of young men in building the nation’s progress” that young men and women are the future of our nation. They are our real hope in making prosperity flourish and our chance to get out of the rut of underdevelopment and into the realms of progress and wellbeing.

He indicated that the youth are our sustained power and glory-makers, because they have the energy, power and desire, especially those students who completed their degrees an young people whose general conditions prevented them to embark on suitable jobs.

When there are goals pointed out by the wise and intellectual people where they have a sincere, true and reformist scheme geared up for the young people which is consistent with the tenets of the nation, its history and its culture; they enthusiastically rush to defend, bearing upon their shoulders  the desire and willingness to accomplish the goal.

The Nation”s youth are under a great multi-faceted conspiracy with all forms and methods implemented by an authoritarian regime dominating over much of  the fate and  the nation”s educational potentialities, he said, demanding the  exertion of a strong role in the upbringing of our young to live under the shadow of the sublime message immunized with enough knowledge and inspiring spirit of their awareness which is based upon the teaching of Islam which is nourished in the arteries of their soul.

He underscored it provides good substitutes and suitable alternatives to fill their spare-time that drives young people out of  some moral lapses, opening up the way for young people to take part and display views in an integrated reformist progressive project absorbing their energies.

He stressed that the nation”s credible scholars should spare no efforts in linking the nation”s young people with them, listening to their problems, breaking up their barriers of hatred and restoring their missing confidence. It is possible to attain, as they have a major role in embracing the youth, finding their scientific and educational needs and fulfilling it with the right knowledge and serious upbringing. By accomplishing this together with the nation”s leading
role in supporting young people it will empower and enable them to move freely without obstacles.
