The Message of the Muslim Brotherhood

The Message of the Muslim Brotherhood

“O you who believe, bow and prostrate and worship your Lord and do good so that you may succeed. And strive for Allah with the striving due to Him. He has chosen you and has not placed upon you in the religion any difficulty. It is the religion of your father, Abraham. Allah named you ‘Muslims’ before [in former scriptures] and in this [revelation] that the Messenger may be a witness over you and you may be witnesses over the people. So establish prayer and give zakah and hold fast to Allah. He is your protector; and excellent is He as the protector, and excellent is He as the helper.” (Qur’an 22:77-78)

Bowing, prostrating, establishing prayer, worshiping Allah, doing good, and refraining from evil are the causes of success and prosperity, and this is the individual duty of each Muslim that they should perform by themselves, individually or collectively.

Then, after that, He commanded them to strive in the name of Allah in the proper manner of striving by spreading this call and disseminating it among the people with evidence and proof.

Based on this, Muslims have made it their mission and message to:

1 – Guide all of humanity to the beneficial systems and teachings of Islam, which bring happiness to people.

2 – Liberate the nation from its political chains so that it can regain its freedom, and restore its lost independence and sovereignty.

3 – Stand against materialistic civilizations and the culture of indulgence and desires, which have swept the Islamic nations and deprived th)em of good.

4 – Call for the establishment of the comprehensive Islamic system:

(a) An internal system of governance, "And judge between them by what Allah has revealed, and do not follow their inclinations, and beware of them lest they tempt you away from some of what Allah has sent down to you. And if they turn away – then know that Allah only intends to afflict them with some of their [own] sins. And indeed, many among the people are defiantly disobedient." (Qur’an 5:49) "Do they then seek the judgement of (the days of) Ignorance? And who is better in judgement than Allah for a people who have firm Faith?" (Qur’an 5:50)

(b) A system for international relations, "Thus We have made you, a Just (balanced) nation, that you be witnesses over mankind and the Messenger (Muhammad) be a witness over you." (Qur’an 2:143)

(c) A practical system of judiciary, "But no, by your Lord, they can have no Faith, until they make you (O Muhammad) judge in all disputes between them, and find in themselves no resistance against your decisions, and accept (them) with full submission." (Qur’an 4:65)

(d) A system for defense and military service, "March forth, whether you are light (being healthy, young and wealthy) or heavy (being ill, old and poor), and strive hard with your wealth and your lives in the Cause of Allah. This is better for you, if you but knew." (Qur’an 9:41)

(e) An independent economic system for wealth, money, state, and individuals, "And do not give the weak-minded your property, which Allah has made a means of sustenance for you, but provide for them with it and clothe them and speak to them words of appropriate kindness." (Qur’an 4:5)

(f) A system for culture and education that eliminates ignorance and darkness and matches the majesty of revelation, "Read in the name of your Lord who created." (Qur’an 96:1)

(g) A system for the family and the household, "O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is people and stones, over which are [appointed] angels, harsh and severe; they do not disobey Allah in what He commands them but do what they are commanded." (Qur’an 66:6)

(h) A system for individual behavior, "Indeed he succeeds who purifies his own self (i.e. obeys and performs all that Allah ordered, by following the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism and by doing righteous good deeds). And indeed he fails who corrupts his own self (i.e. disobeys what Allah has ordered by rejecting the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism or by following polytheism, etc. or by doing every kind of evil wicked deeds)." (Qur’an 91:9-10)

(i) A general spirit that dominates every individual in the nation, from ruler to ruled, "And seek, through that which Allah has given you, the home of the Hereafter; and [yet], do not forget your share of the world. And do good as Allah has done good to you. And desire not corruption in the land. Indeed, Allah does not like corrupters." (Qur’an 28:77)

(j) We want: the Muslim individual, the Muslim home, the Muslim nation, the Muslim government, and the state that leads the Islamic countries, gathers the diaspora of Muslims, retrieves their glory, restores their lost lands, their stolen homelands, their usurped countries, and then carries the banner of the call to Allah, so that the world rejoices with the teachings of Islam… a message under the banner of the Qur’an.
