The Muslim Brotherhood participates in the condolences for the Vice President of the Islamic Group in Bangladesh

The Muslim Brotherhood took part in expressing condolences for the passing of Maulana Hussein Al-Saeedi, the Vice President of the Islamic Group in Bangladesh, who died as a martyr in prison after suffering a heart attack without receiving treatment. Mr. Humam Ali Yousuf, a member of the General Shura Council of the Muslim Brotherhood, and Dr. Talat Fahmi, the media spokesperson for the Brotherhood, attended and offered condolences to the leaders of the Islamic Group. They also participated in the absentee funeral prayer for the deceased at Al-Fateh Mosque in Istanbul.

It should be noted that Maulana Hussein Al-Saeedi was one of the renowned scholars of Bangladesh. The Bangladeshi authorities had sentenced him to life imprisonment in a political case. Meanwhile, years ago, the previous leader of the Islamic Group in Bangladesh was executed without concrete evidence and in the context of politicized trials.

The deceased dedicated his life to the service of the call to Allah. He also participated in the committee to end the war between Iraq and Kuwait. He served as a member of the Bangladeshi Parliament for two terms and held the position of Chairman of the Religious Affairs Committee in the Parliament.
