Urgent meeting to move Federation of Arab Engineers from Egypt

Amid overwhelming rejection the Secretariat of the Federation of Arab Engineers will convene an urgent meeting on Friday morning to discuss the possibility of moving the headquarters of the federation from Cairo.
This happens under continued custody on the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate and in violation of the judicial rulings which were in favour of the right of engineers to lift custody and hold elections.
For their part, Egyptian Engineers against Custody announced their rejection to the attempts of some Arab Syndicates to move the Federation of Arab Engineers from Cairo due to the continued custody since 15 years. They held the Egyptian regime and the government of the ruling party responsible for moving the Federation because of their attitude towards the judicial rulings in favour of the engineers’ right.
Eng. Omar Abdallah, co-ordinator of the Federation stressed to ikhwanweb that the Egyptian regime with its attitude and the continued custody on the Engineers Syndicate is affecting Egypt’s status in case of moving the headquarters of the Federation from Cairo.
He asserted that the engineers are rejecting this step in order to maintain the scientific and Arabic position it has.
He also added that this call has been repeated many times but the judicial rulings were delaying these requests from time to time.
Eng. Abdullah pointed out that the Federation is taking the matter seriously this time and will not accept to see the oldest and greatest Engineers Syndicate in the Arab world, which hosts the Federation, under judicial custody which is charged with looting tens of millions of Egyptian pounds.
