US Ambassador Scobey accused of Deliberate Killing of Egyptians

Gamal Tag El-Din, Secretary General of the Freedoms Committee at the Journalists Syndicate, submitted a complaint on Thursday accusing Margret Scobey, US Ambassador in Egypt, of facilitating the seizure of the car owned by the embassy which ran over the peaceful protesters on 28 February 2011.
Tag El-Din stressed that facilitating and incitement affects the independence and unity of the country. It also leads to the use of force and violence, threats and intimidation in order to disturb public order.
He called on the US to withdraw its ambassador in Egypt and to condemn the crimes she committed and urging the US to file a lawsuit against Scobey after her return to the US.
Tag El-Din revealed earlier eye witnesses stated that Major General Ismail El-Shaer, former head of Cairo’s security and assistant of the former interior minister, was driving the car.
