The MB’s Candidate Denies his Involvement in Alex. Riot Ikhwan online The Moslem Brotherhood’s candidate of Muharim Bec district, Alexandra, Osama Gado, declines that his election campaign was the driving force behind the disturbance that has been erupted in the church of the district, which left three killed and others injured. Meanwhile, he put the blame on police which did not attempted to halt this riot earlier. He explained that the police did not conduct relative investigation nor released a clarifying note to ease tension. He added that the church proclaimed the ban of the play two years ago. Thus, the Moslem Brotherhood was not the operative factor to this turmoil. The MB’s candidate urged the church to issue an explanatory statement note that expounds the reality and respects the feelings of Moslems and Christians. He stressed that this account will put an end to likely rumors. It is worth mentioning that the church has acted a play which was thought to disrespect the Moslem holy places. Accordingly, the church resolved to stop it in order to prevent any potential clashes.
