The Muslim Brotherhood Renews Its Call to Stop the War in Sudan
The Muslim Brotherhood is following the developments of the war in Sudan with grave concern, especially reports of human rights violations, severe abuses against Sudanese women, and ethnic-based targeting.
The group warns of the danger of Sudan’s land becoming a battlefield for settling scores on behalf of entities that do not care about Sudan’s security and stability. It calls on the Sudanese people to unite and reject division in facing the forces of tyranny and aggression.
The Brotherhood renews Its call for all parties to immediately stop the fighting, to strive to end the violations against defenseless civilians, and to restore stability and territorial integrity to Sudan.
It also calls for the unity of the Sudanese military leadership and for elections that result in the selection of a civilian government; keeping the Sudanese armed forces away from politics as a shield protecting the unity and national security of Sudan.
